Pineapple Patch Development

WORK STARTS ON PINEAPPLE PATCH DEVELOPMENT

Works on the first stage of the Pineapple Patch development commenced on site on Thursday 30th October 2008, with a Construction Pre-start conference attended by representatives for the Developer, the Contractor, the Golf Club, and the Rockhampton Regional Council.

Stage 1 of the Area 4 works includes relocation of sewerage, water, and stormwater infrastructure on Yeppoon Golf Club land, required to facilitate works in subsequent Stages to proceed.

Area 4 of the Pineapple Patch Development is identified generally as that part of Yeppoon Golf Club land currently taken up by the eastern half of the existing 4th hole, and the existing scrub to the eastern side of the main dam.

During the works, there will be changes to both access to, and play on, the course.

Specifically, all areas identified as “Construction Site”, will be declared by a Temporary Local Rule, to be Öut of Bounds” for golfers.

Additionally, and importantly for safety, entry into the “Construction Site” will be strictly prohibited.        Non-compliance with this directive will result in disciplinary action being taken by the Club.

Those members and visitors who have previously accessed the course on the eastern boundary (both pedestrian and by motorised cart) will be required to access the course via the main gate on Yeppoon Road. Motorised Cart access will be along Fowler Drive, then along and outside the Club’s southern boundary, to the main gate. Cart owners are responsible for ensuring required vehicle registrations are current.

There will be, at times during the construction, temporary tees and greens in play for members and visitors in both social and competition golf.

Works associated with the current Stage 1 tender are anticipated to take approximately six (6) weeks to complete.
